Helping Babbel Acquire New Language Learners Using Direct Response Video Creatives

By partnering with Shuttlerock, leading language learning app and e-Learning platform, Babbel, has been able to take their direct response efforts to a new level.

The addition of Shuttlerock’s design resource and creative expertise has enabled Babbel’s paid social team to improve their performance campaigns by matching their media strategies with fit-for-purpose, optimized video ads.

Answering Babbel’s Need For Speed & Scale

Being a digitally-minded company, Babbel focuses heavily on paid social as a key user-acquisition channel. Campaigns run on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube have proven to be powerful as they enable Babbel to effectively direct viewers towards download or sign-up pages using actionable calls-to-actions (CTAs).

This focus on paid social requires a high volume of assets. Along with the need for creative variants to fill the many different placements on social, Babbel’s German-based paid social team also requires localized assets, translated for the various European markets that they serve.

Shuttlerock’s scalable production capabilities, coupled with the streamlined briefing and revision process that is offered via ShuttlerockCloud has helped Babbel with a lot of the heavy lifting. Babbel can now receive all of the assets they need to run a campaign within a matter of days, enabling them to stay agile and react quickly to market changes.

Experimenting With New Audience Engagement Methods

A disruptor at heart, Babbel is constantly on the lookout for new ways of engaging audiences. Collaborating with Shuttlerock’s DACH Creative Strategy team has helped Babbel to continue to think outside of the box with the creatives that they are running. This has helped to keep things fresh, whilst also uncovering learnings for future campaigns.
