SUSTAGEN drives impact across social with scalable 3D video creative

Sitting in the Nestlé Health Science portfolio of brands, SUSTAGEN is a high-protein, low-fat, nutritional supplement. 

Historically, SUSTAGEN’s digital comms centered on their core Hospital Formula product, targeting an older (50+ y/o) demographic. However, with their ready-to-drink (RTD) product, SUSTAGEN was looking to reposition the brand and engage younger consumers across Meta and TikTok, requiring a refreshed creative strategy. 

The new strategy focuses on producing more fun, playful, and high-energy creative, while remaining true to the brand’s core tone of voice and nutritional focus. To achieve this, SUSTAGEN partnered with Shuttlerock. 

SUSTAGEN's marketing team was enthusiastic about leveraging Shuttlerock’s 3D video solution, having witnessed its effectiveness and success with other Nestlé brands, NESCAFÉ and MILO.

The solution would enable the Sustagen team to produce high-impact, product-focused videos in a fast, efficient, and scalable manner.

SUSTAGEN supplied the flatpack PDF files for two of their flavors. Shuttlerock’s design team used their 3D rendering capabilities to transform the raw files into realistic 3D product models.

The 3D product models served as the core assets to create a set of high-impact video creatives. The 3D models were brought to life ‌through animation and motion graphics, combining other visual elements to deliver eye-catching videos that effectively communicated the benefits of the SUSTAGEN RTD product.

 

Video optimizations were supplied for both Instagram and Facebook placements, with creative variants provided for both broad targeting and retargeting campaigns. 
 

3. Creative refresh & new flavor launch

2024 Refresh

Building on the success of the first set of creatives, SUSTAGEN decided to refresh their assets for 2024, coinciding with the launch of their new strawberry flavor.

 

These refreshed assets further targeted the younger demographic with a brighter color palette and added energy coming from eye-catching animation techniques.  

With the updated creative approach, SUSTAGEN embraced creative diversification. They developed a diverse range of assets, enabling them to personalize their campaigns with more targeted messaging/creative.
 

4. Additional platform optimizations

Embracing creative diversification saw SUSTAGEN develop creative optimizations for two additional social platforms: TikTok and YouTube. Along with these social platforms, Shuttlerock has also supplied SUSTAGEN with creative for retail media placements in Coles supermarkets. 

Doing more with less

With Shuttlerock's 3D video solution, SUSTAGEN has shown how you can do a lot with a little. Using only their PDF flatpacks as base assets, they've been able to produce a diverse range of high-impact videos for use across a number of social placements. 

This is an efficient, scalable creative solution that can be repeated for refreshed creative treatments, additional platforms, and new products.
